What you will discover is not selected by its aesthetic characteristics! It is not so much about being the most beautiful, or about putting the most trendy product on display: it’s about what is most innovative in terms of technique, performance, use of new materials, intelligent materials and so on. **
For the second time around, the MoOD Innovation Platform sample bank moved to Australia. From 3 until 5 February visitors of Decoration + Design got the chance to see and touch the large collection of inspiring and innovative materials which were provided by the MoOD 2009 exhibitors and non-exhibiting companies.

After five years of Decotec the innovation sample bank was renamed to MoOD Innovation Platform. But as in former years a wide and more than interesting selection of samples was put on display. Year in and year out, MoOD brings a presentation of the latest developments in the area of innovative fabrics and decorative upholstery materials. The great ambition is to stimulate, support and give a platform for innovation. Whoever has a current interest in furnishings, window and wall coverings just has to come to Brussels in September.
It is not the first time that the sample bank with inspiring samples travels to another part of the world. In 2007 the international event Architex was our host showing the selection of newest materials for upholstery, window and wall coverings. This time around the selection traveled to the other side of the planet.
